| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Decimal places to show |
With these settings, you can specify the number of decimal places shown for unit costs, total costs, production rates, quantities, and percents. Use the dropdown menus to select a number between 0 and 6 for each category. These are visual preferences only — mathematical functions will always calculate using the fullest decimal. |
| Include 'Number of' in 'Total UM' calculation for labor and equipment in crews |
This preference determines how B2W Estimate will display durations for crew labor and crew equipment on the Estimate Detail tab. By checking or un-checking this box, you can choose whether you want to view the duration of each individual component of a certain type, or the total for all of the components of that type in the crew. By default, this preference is disabled, and B2W Estimate displays the duration for one component in the Total UM field even if the value in the Number Of field is greater than 1. Enabling this preference tells B2W Estimate to take the actual number of components into account when displaying that component's total duration on the Estimate Detail tab. See an example:

| Auto-refresh rate |
Enter the interval of time in seconds before B2W Estimate refreshes your data to display changes made by other users. You can also enter a zero (0) to disable the auto-refresh feature. An hourglass will be displayed on-screen whenever a refresh occurs. Regardless of this setting, you can always press F5 on your keyboard to manually refresh the display. Refreshes are also automatically triggered as you navigate through B2W Estimate. For example, when you navigate to a different tab in an estimate, or when you trigger the auto-distribute function. |
| Auto-capitalize text |
When selected, B2W Estimate automatically capitalizes the first letter in each word of descriptions that you enter. Clear this check mark when you want to control capitalization of item or material descriptions. |
| Save estimate organizations and contacts to Resources |
Place a checkmark in this box if you want edits made to estimate organizations and contacts to be saved back to the Resources area. For example, if you update a customer's address, a subcontractor's main phone number, or a contact's email address while in an estimate, it is often useful to save these changes to the Resources database as well. |
