To use Quantm for long road and railway projects, it might take a long time for a regular laptop to complete the optimizations. Therefore, it is possible to use a server to speed up the process.

1. For this operation, you need to download and install Quantm Pathfinder on the server. See Install Quantm Pathfinder.
2. Quantm Desktop creates a terrain file (.tmq) which must be copied over to the server, as well as each optimization file submitted (.opz) that contains all the information needed to run the optimization. When you click Submit, the file is written to the project folder on your computer.
