User Types

Learn about the three different user types in Traqspera.

Traqspera has three user types: Managed users, Trimble ID users, and Legacy users. Each user type is designed for specific uses.

Managed Users

Important: For HR Management for Spectrum Customers - Managed users are only available on portals that have Mandatory Trimble ID enabled and are unified with HR Management for Spectrum. For more information, see Unified User Management.
Managed users access Traqspera using an admin-assigned username. System administrators are responsible for managing Managed user credentials. Managed users can only access Traqspera with their credentials, not other Trimble products.
  • Credentials: Username with a short code prefix. No email required.
  • Login managed by: Traqspera system administrators
  • Typically used by: Field and mobile employees

Managed users credentials follow a standard format, established by the system administrator. For more information, see Configure Managed Users.

Important:

To add Managed users, you must be a Trimble ID user and have access to Trimble's ERROR - unresolved reference (admin_console) with the Account Owner, Secondary Account Owner, or License Admin role. For more information, see Getting Started with Admin Console for Managed Users - Video and Admin Console Onboarding Guide.

Trimble ID Users

Trimble ID users access Traqspera using their Trimble ID credentials. They can manage their credentials through the Trimble ID user portal. Trimble ID users can access multiple Trimble products with the same credentials. Trimble ID users can use the same credentials to access multiple companies within Traqspera.

  • Credentials: email address associated with their Trimble ID.
  • Login managed by: Trimble ID
  • Typically used by: Office employees

Legacy Users

Legacy users were created with Traqspera's previous user management system. Convert these users to Managed users or Trimble ID users.
