Compatibility With Vista

The 26.6 version of the web portal is compatible with the following versions of Vista:
  • Vista 2025.12 – Vista 2026.9

Release Highlights

This release includes the following new enhancements. For more details, see the individual release highlights sections that follow.

  • Onboarding now supports a Spanish option! To set it up, select Translation on your Document Template or Custom Task to create an alternative Spanish version. When a user chooses Spanish, the system displays Spanish text and provides your Spanish versions of documents and tasks.
  • Introducing the new Trimble-assistent Document Library Agent for Vista Web! For information on how to sign up to be an early adopter, see our Network post.
  • User-Defined (UD) Fields are now enabled by default across Field Management Mobile without requiring a feature flag, and all field data persists reliably across app sessions.

  • Report Library Migration for Cloud! If you are a cloud customer, we are currently migrating your Report Library to our new solution. In this release, your existing Report Library will be renamed Reports (Legacy) (URLs will remain the same), and it will continue to be available even after your reports are migrated. Once the migration is complete, you’ll find your updated reports under Reports. Both solutions will be accessible until the end of the year, after which the old solution will be retired. Watch for an in-app notification letting you know when your new Report Library is ready.
Note: Custom data sources are not yet supported in this release. If you need to disable the new Report Library, you can turn off the portal setting Enable PBI Reports.

Trimble ID Updates for Vista Web

Review changes related to Trimble ID setup and logins in the web portal.

  • A new Enable Trimble ID linking with email in PR Employee setting controls whether the automated linking process scans standard payroll records. When enabled (default), the portal checks for an email match sequentially across VA Users, PR Employee Work Email, and PR Employee Email. When disabled, the portal only scans VA Users and PR Employee Work Email.

Setting location: Admin > Portal Settings > Security / Login > Trimble ID Linking

  • A new Disable Manual Link option when TID linking setting controls whether users can manually connect their accounts if an automated match is not found. When disabled (default), unmatched users are directed to the standard manual profile linking page. When enabled, the manual linking option is completely blocked and users must contact their system administrator.

Setting location: Admin > Portal Settings > Security / Login > Trimble ID Linking

HR Management Highlights

The following enhancements and customer suggestions were added in this release.

  • Applicant Tracking

    • Added a Deactivate profile checkbox to the Profile Settings modal. This enables administrators to retire outdated ATS job categories without deleting historical data. Deactivated items are hidden from new invitations and the careers/welcome page, but remain fully manageable within the Hiring Process Builder via a new Show deactivated profiles filter.
  • Onboarding

    • Onboarding now supports a Spanish option! To set it up, select Translation on your Document Template or Custom Task to create an alternative Spanish version.

When a user chooses Spanish, the system displays Spanish text and provides your Spanish versions of documents and tasks. Currently, this feature supports Spanish translation with additional languages to come.

    • Added a Deactivate profile checkbox to the Profile Settings modal. This enables administrators to retire outdated onboarding profiles without deleting historical data. Deactivated items are hidden from new invitations and the careers/welcome page, but remain fully manageable within the Hiring Process Builder via a new Show deactivated profiles filter.
    • The permission settings for hiring locations have been updated to separate viewing and editing privileges. The existing dropdown option previously named Can View is now labeled Can Edit. A new read-only Can View option has been added.
  • Performance Reviews

    • Performance reviews now support dynamic validation logic with database customization. Administrators can define business logic that makes a performance review required only when specific conditions are met during a workflow.
Note: This feature requires database customization. Contact Trimble Professional Services or our partner Fiddletree if you are interested in using this feature.
  • Report Library
    • Report Library Migration for Cloud! If you are a cloud customer, we are currently migrating your Report Library to our new solution. In this release, your existing Report Library will be renamed Reports (Legacy) (URLs will remain the same), and it will continue to be available even after your reports are migrated. Once the migration is complete, you’ll find your updated reports under Reports. Both solutions will be accessible until the end of the year, after which the old solution will be retired. Watch for an in-app notification letting you know when your new Report Library is ready.

For more information about this migration, see Report Library Migration FAQ.

Note: Custom data sources are not yet supported in this release. If you need to disable the new Report Library, you can turn off the portal setting Enable PBI Reports.
  • Timecards

    • When utilizing an alternate grid web layout that includes User-Defined (UD) fields, timecard line validation now factors in UD fields when checking for duplicate lines. If an alternate group user adds multiple lines containing identical standard criteria (such as Employee, Job, and Phase) but inputs distinct values within the custom UD field dropdown or input box, the system will recognize the lines as completely unique and save them separately instead of deduplicating or deleting them.
  • Training

    • Training classes now support dynamic validation logic with database customization. Administrators can define business logic that makes a training class required only when specific conditions are met during a workflow.
Note: This feature requires database customization. Contact Trimble Professional Services or our partner Fiddletree if you are interested in using this feature.

Field Management Highlights

The following enhancements and customer suggestions were added in this release.

  • Field Management Mobile
    • User-Defined (UD) Fields are now enabled by default across Field Management Mobile without requiring a feature flag, and all field data persists reliably across app sessions.

Newly added UD Fields automatically display on all timecards, including existing and previously submitted ones, ensuring historical consistency. To guarantee the latest configurations are available, UD Fields now sync automatically upon app login, and a manual refresh option has been added to the sync page.

Additionally, UD Fields are now fully supported within Field Ticket and Timecard submission workflows. This ensures all field inputs flow seamlessly to the portal and are included in the standard submission data for manager review.

Vista Field Service Highlights

The following enhancements and customer suggestions were added in this release.

  • Work Orders
    • Field Service now respects Vista’s AR Customer "On Hold" settings based on the SM Company Parameters configured in your system. This ensures that field technicians do not accidentally perform or log work for accounts with active credit restrictions.

  • Forms

    • Forms now support dynamic validation logic with database customization. Administrators can define business logic that makes a form item required only when specific conditions are met during a workflow.
Note: This feature requires database customization. Contact Trimble Professional Services or our partner Fiddletree if you are interested in using this feature.
