Key capabilities
Trimble Assist gives people one way to talk to agents, whether they open the standalone web app or use Assist inside a Trimble product.
Built around the user
Assist is designed around the person, not around one application page:
- Context that travels. Conversations and history can follow people across the products that embed Assist, so work started in one application can continue in another.
- Familiar everywhere. The way people open Assist, the chat layout, and the way answers look stay the same from office to field applications.
- Beyond the current page. Agents can draw on the platform's wider knowledge and tools, not only on what the host application shows.
Where Assist runs
Open Trimble Assist in a browser and sign in with a Trimble ID, or use Assist embedded in a Trimble product. An embedded Assist offers the same experience inside that product, reuses the Trimble Identity sign-in, passes context so agents know which product and work item are open, and offers the same agents people already know from the standalone app.
What users can do
Find agents. Switch agents with the agent picker, or select Explore agents and browse the agent gallery (My agents and Shared with me). Search agents, pin favorites, and read each agent's description and suggested prompts under Try asking. Type / in the message box to pick a skill for the conversation.
Chat. Ask in natural language and get formatted answers. Ask follow-up questions; context carries through the conversation. Pick a model when the agent offers more than one. Attach images and files, such as PDFs, when the agent accepts them.
Manage conversations. Conversations are saved automatically. Find them under Conversations in the sidebar. Resume, pin, and delete your own conversations from a row's three vertical dots icon menu, and continue a conversation in any product where Assist is available.
Work with several agents. Switch between specialized agents without learning a new interface each time. Agents built in Trimble Agent Studio are available as soon as they are shared. Interactive results can appear inside the chat when a tool returns an MCP App.
Tool call approvals. Approve or deny an agent's tool calls before it writes, modifies, or deletes data. See Approve a tool call.
