What's New In HR Management for Spectrum 2026 R6

The 2026 R6 release of HR Management for Spectrum contains unified Employee Details and various improvements. This release is available as of September 15, 2026.

Managed Users simplify application access and user management for field and mobile employees who use only Traqspera. For a demo, watch Managed Users Demo - Video.

On the User Management page, you can invite people by text or email and manage their usernames and passwords, including password resets, so they can get to work without creating a Trimble ID.

Important: You can no longer create Legacy usernames and passwords. New users must be a Managed user or a Trimble ID user.

Managed Users Prerequisites

In order to add Managed users, system administrators must:

Getting Started with Managed Users

Create a Short Code

Short codes are a short identifier at the start of every Managed user username. For example, in the username acme.jdoe, acme is the short code.

Important: Short Code cannot be changed once saved.
Important: Only one Short Code can be set up across all of your Traqspera systems, regardless if they are associated with different companies in Spectrum.

For a video walkthrough of short codes, see Short Code for Managed Users - Video

For instructions on setting up your short code, see Configure Managed Users.

Invite and onboard without a Trimble ID.

System administrators add Managed users quickly and invite them by text or email, without requiring each person to create a Trimble ID.

Convert users

You can convert a user between Managed and Trimble ID, including from Legacy, when their role or how they sign in changes. Use Bulk Convert to move multiple Legacy accounts to Managed at once.

For more information, see Convert Individual Users and Bulk Convert Legacy Users.

User Types

Traqspera supports three log in types:

  • Managed Users: Recommended for field and mobile employees who just use Traqspera. These users receive invites via text or email and log in with an assigned username and password. System admins are responsible for creating and managing their credentials.
  • Trimble ID Users: Recommended for office employees or those using multiple Trimble products. These users log in with their Trimble ID credentials and manage their own security settings.
  • Legacy Users: Existing users created prior to this release that don't have a Trimble ID. Admins can easily convert Legacy users to Managed users with a bulk conversion tool.

For more details, see User Types.
