Create New Item Dialog

Use the Create New Item dialog to create pay items or indirect items manually within an estimate for specialized bid requirements.

The Create New Item dialog helps you create new pay items or indirect items on the fly inside an estimate. This is useful when your bid requires specialized items that do not need to be stored in a database for future use.

Using the Dialog

    • Indirect item appears only if you select By detailing the cost using indirect items under Indirect Cost Settings in Estimate Options.
  2. Enter values (or make selections) in the fields you want to record. The required fields are Description, UM, and Cost Method.
  3. Select Add to add the new item to your estimate.
  4. Repeat the process as necessary to create additional items, then select Close.
