Trimble ID session expired alerts
We've improved how the app handles expired Trimble ID sign-in sessions so you always know the exact status of your data sync. If you are connected to the internet and your Trimble ID session expires, a session expired dialog displays.
When you work in the field, the mobile app lets you create and edit records completely offline. Your changes are saved safely to your mobile device. However, to push those changes to the server and see updates from your team, the app requires both an internet connection and an active Trimble ID session.
If your login session expires or you lose authorization, the app preserves your work locally but pauses sync until you sign back in.
Figure 1. Session expired prompt To resume syncing immediately, select Sign In. This takes you to the Trimble ID login page. Once you sign back in, your pending data immediately begins pushing to the server.
Or to keep working offline, select Dismiss or tap anywhere outside the dialog box. Your work is safely saved on your device, but your team will not see your updates, and you won't see theirs, until you sign back in.

Improved visual cues
The app uses visual cues on your dashboard and activity tracker to show your connection and login status.
Session connection and login status What you see What it means Online and authorized (Signed in) Blue cloud icons. Activity tracker: "Synced [X] time ago"
All online features and downloads are fully active. Your data is actively syncing. Online but session expired Gray cloud-slash icons and disabled project download buttons. Activity tracker: "Synced [X] time ago. Sign in required to sync."
You have internet access, but your login session has timed out. Syncing is paused until you sign in again. Offline (Signed in) Banner message: "You're offline. Sync is disabled." Your device is disconnected from the network. Your work is saved locally to your device and syncs once you reconnect. Offline and session expired Banner message: "You're offline. Sign in to sync when back online." You are disconnected from the network and your login session has timed out. You need to sign back in once you find a connection. -
Activity tracker
To check your status at any time, look at the Activity Tracker. If your session is expired, your last successful sync time displays alongside a warning.
