Access Trimble Materials

Trimble provides single sign-on (SSO) access to multiple Trimble products using a single set of credentials, known as a Trimble ID (TID). Licenses are managed in the Trimble Account Services Admin Console.

Using Trimble Materials

This Help covers maintaining catalogs of material items, warehouses of inventory, working with projects, processing orders and quotes, and invoice reconciliation. It also covers the system settings required to customize some functionality.

Company Items database

The Company Items database is a master record of the most commonly ordered items, agnostic of supplier or project, ensuring that your team is ordering the same materials across the different job sites, and enabling you to track what's being requested and ordered. It can also be used as the list that field workers can choose from if they don't work with project BoMs and supplier catalogs.

Warehouses

Set up warehouses to track stock levels across multiple locations, reallocate surplus materials, and safely store materials before allocating them to projects / job sites.

Suppliers and supplier contacts

Add suppliers and supplier contacts to Trimble Materials to manage and track supplier-specific information for items that you regularly order from those suppliers. You can then submit orders or RFQs directly to specific suppliers, and communicate directly from within Trimble Materials with contacts for those suppliers.

Supplier catalogs

Set up supplier catalogs for suppliers that you typically order from and manage them directly within Trimble Materials, adding supplier-specific items to them.

Orders

Trimble Materials supports the creation of different types of orders, such as material, rental, service, return, or blanket orders, and requests for quotes.

Line items

Track purchasing information, and analyze project purchases, deliveries, and billings using the Trimble Materials Line Items page. Run reports which you can download to a spreadsheet.

Invoices

Trimble Materials invoicing enables you to easily track, review, and reconcile supplier invoices all in the same system you use for purchasing and material management.

Invoiced items

Trimble Materials provides access to your purchasing data by extracting the line items that were parsed from all invoices into a single searchable table and analytics dashboard, so you can easily track parsed line items that come from your invoices.

Projects

Projects in Trimble Materials enable you to manage and organize all project details, including a project’s budget and Bill of Materials (BoM).

Account settings and preferences

In Trimble Materials Settings, you will find your account details along with options for customizing your account.

Log out of Trimble Materials whenever required, especially if using a shared or public device.
